COLIN!

Colin - 15- friendly - loving - good friend & cousin!

In October, we invited my cousin Colin to come live with us for a while... Growing up, he and I were more like siblings than cousins. When My aunt lived in Vegas & was working full time, my mom babysat Colin a lot (and his sister Katelyn), sometimes as long as a month at a time, so we've always been really close.

Since he's been out here, Kennedy has gotten quite attached to him! He's her new 'buddy'! He's such a great help with her, especially when I need a shower badly and he plays with her so I can take one! LOL! Being 15, I'm sure he wouldn't normally choose to play with a toddler all day, but since being out here, he and Kennedy love eachothers company (most of the time ;) )

We absolutely love him to death & are going to miss him like crazy when he moves back home in May!

Kennedy & Colin were being silly rolling around on the floor! Kennedy was telling him something about her nose!?

Thanksgiving Anyone?

Thanksgiving has come and gone already again!
And what a fun filled day it was!
Ok, so I realize this is like a month and a half late, but better late than never, right?
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of places to go & people to see!
Our day started out by going to Grandma Torgerson's (Kodi's Grandma on his Dad's side), where we ate lots of Grandma's delicious food (mmm, especially her delicous rolls and potatoes!) & spent time visiting with Grandma, Kent, Tiff, Enoc, Oliver, Derek, Angelita, Sheldon, & many more of the wonderful Torgerson Bunch!
Before we ate, Kodi & Colin played a little football outside & Kennedy and Mommy had fun Playing in the leaves & swinging on the swings! Every time we go to Grandma Torg's, Kennedy wants to go outside to play on the swings! Grandma's house is so much fun! Kennedy also loves playing with Grandma's big bucket of fun toys!

Next we went to Jani & Scott's (Kodi's mom, and step dad) house and ate more yummy food & had a good time visiting with the Mckean/Morgan/Thomas side. And again, All the boys went outside to play some football ( a tradition I'm sure will continue til Kodi is in a wheelchair!)
After we ate lots of food and said our goodbyes at the Thomas house, we headed to Rachael's (my sister) ward house to meet up with my parents & siblings & siblings spouses/significant others & children for dessert. After some very delicious Dessert, we played 'Bunco' (one of the funnest games ever!) & visited til everyone was tired and ready for bed. The best part for all the little ones, was riding on this little round skateboard type thing while Colin pushed!

The day after Thanksgiving we went to my parent's house in Delta, UT (also known as the edge of the earth, lol!). While in Delta, we had a great time playing 'Puerto Rico', Watching movies, and just hanging out. But the best was on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, when we went to the fair grounds for the annual town christmas get together where there's entertainment, hot chocolate, donuts, & best of all, Santa! Last year, Kennedy didn't really know what was going on with Santa & was just fine. This year, however....

A picture speaks a thousand words!!!
All in all it was a wonderful holiday weekend! We Can't wait til the fun begins again next year!

I love my daddy!

Kennedy & Daddy!

Kennedy and Daddy have become the best of friends. From the moment we found out I was pregnant with Kennedy, Kodi was so excited to PLAY with our little baby! And now he does, all the time! Kennedy adores her Daddy and tries to do everything he does! She loves giving Daddy kisses, wearing his hats, playing video games, and watching basketball with him! It's so much fun to see them play and giggle together!

Once again, I have found that I'm not the blogger type! Not only do I not ever know what to blog about, but I no longer have internet access at home. My new goal is to blog once a month (crossing my fingers), since obviously my last goal didn't work out so well. A lot has happened since my last post....

We moved back to our apartment in Taylorsville, with lots of help from family and friends! It just wasn't working at the duplex we had moved into, so with lots of prayer, work, and faith, we found someone to take over our lease at the duplex and we were able to move back into the EXACT same apartment unit! Oddly enough, it was still available because they were replacing the carpet, countertops, and linoleum (no idea how to spell such an odd word). We moved in the 8th of November, the day before my birthday, and still have so much to unpack and get RID of!

On a not as happy note... The Thursday before my birthday, I had an appointment with my wonderful midwife Rebecca and found out that I would 'miscarry' the baby we had been hoping and trying for the last few months. I say 'miscarry' , because that's the easiest way to put it. I had something called Blighted Ovum. What is Blighted Ovum? I can't quite explain it the same as how my midwife explained it to me, because I was so shocked and unsettled that I don't remember what she said, so I looked it up and here is the best definition I came across.... "A blighted ovum (also known as “anembryonic pregnancy”) happens when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterine wall, but the embryo does not develop. Cells develop to form the pregnancy sac, but not the embryo itself." So everything seems the same as a normal pregnancy, including hormones & weight gain, but there is no possibility of continuing the pregnancy. I finally 'miscarried' about a week and a half later after going through horrible Labor Like pains and horrible downers in my emotions. I am so blessed to have had such wonderful support from my loving husband and mother who were there for me and took care of Kennedy while I was on pain meds. I also owe a great deal to my wonderful sister in law, Tiff, who went with me to my appointment and was there for me, to listen and give encouraging words!

It seems like so much has happened over the last few months... But all in all, through ups and downs, I am so thankful to my loving family, friends, and especially my Heavenly Father. I don't know how I would ever do it alone!

Lastly... I just have to add how adorable our cute little Kennedy is getting! She is such a joy in our lives and we feel so blessed to be her parents! The photo at the top is just a glimpse of how much fun she is! She just loves dressing up and wearing glasses! But she LOVES her baby dolls and books most of all. She is always asking someone to "Read book me" and telling us that her baby is "Cry Cry" and needs a "bottle water"! We just love watching her grow and seeing how much smarter she is getting every day!

Blogging takes forever!!!

So I've decided something... Blogging takes forever! LOL. I don't know how everyone does it! I've checked out a few blogs and they are all so cute and have so many posts and photos and I'm going 'holy cow, I am never going to have time to do this!' So I've decided I will try to edit or post at least once a week if possible. For all you better committed bloggers, thumbs up to you, cause I don't know how you do it! So please be patient with me as I 'try' to become a true blogger.

First Blog EVER!!!

K, so I've never blogged before, so I'm sure I will do like every 'no-no' or whatever, but I decided I should try it out cause Tiff keeps telling me how cool blogspot is! Hmm... So I'm ridiculously tired and can't sleep cause I've got some major nerve pains. Not excited about having nerve pains so early in this pregnancy! (guess I should mention that I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant with our second child!) I'll back up a little..... Kodi and I met November of '05, were engaged February 12, 2006, and got married May 20, 2006! We then found out we were expecting a baby a couple months later (sometime in August.) Our sweet Kennedy was born April 10, 2007 weighing 8 lbs 5 oz, 21 in long, with tons of black hair (just like her mommy had!) A few job changes and a couple apartment moves later, and here we are in October of 2008, about to move again (back to our old apartment complex, Summerwood). Kennedy is 18 months old now and on the 4th of October we found out that we are expecting again! We are super excited for Kennedy to be a big sister (she absolutely LOVES babies!) I go in for my first appointment with my WONDERFUL midwife, Rebecca Williams, on Monday, the 20th and I'm so excited to see our little kidney bean, lol!
Well, not really sure what else to 'Blog' about, but if anyone has any input on what to blog about or anything, please let me know!
