5 - 9 February 2009

I'm getting better about blogging within a week of when something actually happened. I always feel like I have so much to blog about, but for some reason I have a hard time putting words down by themselves & so I like to take photos to help me out a little with what's been going on in my life.
5 February early evening - waiting for Kodi & Colin to get back with Travis from the airport
Kennedy was having a good time putting lots of washcloths on her Little Mermaid Doll (ariel) to help her 'keep warm.' By the time she was done, she had placed over 10 washcloths on top of Ariel. I guess Ariel must have been really cold after swimming in the sea with Eric or something?

5 February Late at night - while the guys rocked out on guitar
For Christmas, My Grandma crocheted a couple doll dresses for Kennedy. For some reason, Kennedy believes her dolls need to be naked most of the time & so they don't get to enjoy their beautiful dresses as much as I myself would like. Sure enough though, Kennedy finds many other uses for her doll dresses. Here, you will see Kennedy sporting a hip new style called the 'dress hat', usually worn for special occaisons since it's a little 'dressier' than most hats.

It can also be worn as an extra sleeve layer apparently. Who knew you could be so creative with a dress & still make it look good?

Kennedy asks every day if we can go swimming. I like to swim, but it's kind of a hassle in the winter, so we don't go as much as I or Kennedy would like. However, we do go atleast once a week. Kennedy loves her new floaty suit! She almost has the hang of swimming by herself with her floaty suit on. She's still pretty cautious about it though, so she mostly just wants me to hold her hands while she kicks.
6 February Morning - while the guys were snowboarding

She was super excited to finally go swimming, after it took me forever to get ready & feed us both (I know what you're thinking, You shouldn't swim for atleast an hour after eating, psh, hour, ten minutes, whatever)

When we got back to our apartment after swimming, Kennedy was in a Signing Time mood. She insisted on sitting in her carseat while she watched it! (Kodi took the carseat out that morning so He, Colin, & Travis would have room to take all their snowboards & gear snowboarding)

While we all went to Wise Guys, Kennedy played with Grandpa Kent & Great Grandma Torgerson. She always has so much fun with them! Kent was trying to take a picture of Kennedy with his cell phone & Kennedy was super cheeser posing! She kept getting really close so it was hard to get a good pic.
6 February Late at night - picking up Kennedy from Great Grandma Torg's

I'm not sure what noise they were making, but they sure are cute with their matching O shaped mouths!
Kennedy kept climbing on the coffee table & I would remind her that she should get off so she didn't get hurt. This blank stare is her thinking over what mommy kept telling her.

The people at Q4U gave this cute blue hippo to Kennedy as She, Kent, & Great Gma Torg were leaving after eating there.

We were all pretty bummed about Travis leaving , so we didn't have a whole lot of energy to do more than just sit around watching movies.

T - Time

February 5 - 9, 2009
We were lucky enough to have Kodi's cousin, Travis come visit us from Virginia this past weekend. Hopefully Travis had as good of a time as we did!
Travis flew in to SLC, UT Thursday night (February 5).
Didn't do anything too extreme Thursday night, but we definately had some fun! Colin, Kennedy, & I had a great time listening to Kodi & Travis Sing & Play music on the guitar! I especially enjoyed when Travis played 'Bubbly Toes' by Jack Johnson, while Kodi sung along! What a pair!
Kodi had to work Friday til 2 so Travis, Colin, Kennedy & I hung out at our apartment in the morning, just taken it easy. Around noon we headed to Jani & Tiff's house to hang out. I picked Kodi up from work at 2 & we headed back to Jani & Tiff's to spend more time with Travis.

Kennedy was weary of Travis at first (as she is with all new people), & she just kept her head down & wouldn't look at him. By Friday morning, Travis & Kennedy were having a good time, playing together with her hair clippies (so random!) A couple times, while Travis was here, we got Kennedy to call him 'Uncy T' & it was so cute! Definately started a special friendship there!

Unfortunately, these are the only pics I got while Travis was out here. Guess that just means he'll have to come out again real soon!

Friday Night, Kodi & I had a Valentine's Dinner Party to go to & felt bad about ditching out on everybody, but it sounded like they all had a good time, so that was good to hear.
Colin, Kodi, & Travis went snowboarding Saturday from 10 - 4 & from what they were telling me when they got back, it was a blast! Apparently Colin is a natural snowboarder & dare devil!
Saturday Night, Kodi, Travis, Myself, Colin, Tiff, Enoc, Matt & Kristen (Tiff's friends), all went to 'Wise Guys Comedy Club'. It was fun, but not nearly as funny as other times I've been. One of my favorite comedians there is Bengt Washburn, & he was the headliner that night &we were all excited to see him. I was pretty dissapointed with his routine & don't know if I can really say I like him as much anymore. Poundcake is still up there #1 for sure, lol (probably don't know who I'm talking about, unless you've seen him.)
After the Comedy Club, Tiff & Travis went to hang out with some of Tiff's friends & Kodi, Colin, & I picked Kennedy up from Grandpa Kent's house. She had a great time with Grandpa Kent & Great Grandma Torg, but I'll get more into that in another post!
Sunday, after church, we all hung out at Jani & Tiff's place again. We chatted a lot, ate yummy spaghetti, & played 'apples to apples'. Towards the end of the night, we convinced Travis to do some 'readings'. He's really good at Hypnosis & did readings for Myself, Kodi, Colin, Enoc, & Jani (he had done a little with Tiff & Enoc way earlier in the day). He really helped me out with some things & I'm so grateful. Thanks Trav!
