While we were in Delta a couple weekends ago, Kennedy had fun playing with my parents' cat, Squirt. Squirt was enjoying batting at the stick that Kennedy was teasing her with.

Starting in 2006, Kodi, DJ, & I started a tradition of watching the Fireworks at Ensign Peak. It's the best view. You can see all the fireworks going off all over the valley. This year, instead of hiking up to the actual 'Ensign Peak', we sat just below it on the Grass at a park. It turned out to still be a great view. It was way more comfortable & didn't feel quite as crowded as when we've sat up the mountain at Ensign Peak. It was also way more kid friendly, for Kennedy to be able to run around & play, without us fearing that she would roll down the mountain or something.

This year, My Mom & Dad, & Lance (Kodi's good friend from high school) & Kristina (Lance's Fiance') also joined us.

My mom & I were laughing & joking that we were going to start a crafting club... My mom was knitting some baby booties, I was crocheting some baby beaded socks, & there was a lady below us about 10 feet that was knitting a beautiful baby blanket.

I was getting very uncomfortable & sleepy, & ended up laying down on the blanket while the fireworks were going off, so I didn't actually see many, but heard some still

West Jordan Parade

My mom & I took Kennedy, & my niece, Jordi, to watch the parade in West Jordan. [Kodi was golfing with his cousin, Kyle, while we were at the parade]

My sister, Rachael, met us at the parade, a little bit after it started, with her husband, Thad, & my nephews, Domanik & Zaven.

Here are some of the things I liked in the parade...

Ok, this float was just creepy.. it had this giant lady on it that would walk after this chicken & then turn around & bend over (planting seeds or something). Just odd. I'm not even sure what this float was supposed to be for.?

Their dresses were pretty AND modest

Kennedy was very intrigued with this dog. She kept saying she wanted to go up there & give it a kiss. cutie. (I also don't know what this float was for?)

I really liked the sound these drums made, & the artistic way in which the guys played them.

Rachael is so awesome. She sat on the curb with Jordi, Domanik, & Kennedy, & helped them get candy (so I, my mom, Thad, & Zaven could hang out on the grass).

Kennedy had so much fun dancing around & watching the floats go by.

Kennedy, Zaven, my Mom, & I, waited in the parking lot, while Rachael & Thad took Jordi & Domanik to get slurpees at 7/11 (right behind where we were watching the parade)

I love the cute smirk Zaven is making. He's so adorable

Kennedy sportin her new 'MC Hammer' sunglasses (which she picked out at Wet Seal for $3).. I can't believe teenage girls actually wear these.. Seem more like costume jewelry to me, lol

Myself, Kodi, My Mom, & Dad, took Kennedy, Jordi, & Domanik to a park on Friday, to let them play & run off some energy, while Rachael ran errands with just baby Zaven in tow.

My mom, Kodi, & I, all took turns pushing all 3 kids on the swings (it was soo hot & tiring! especially for a pregnant hippo, like myself ;)

The weather was crazy on Thursday. We started out the day with it being blazing hot outside. By about 2:30, when Kennedy & I were on the way to My sister, Rachael's house, it was raining cats & dogs. There was inches of water on the roads.

My pants were soaked about a foot up my leg, after running from my car to my sister's door (which is only about 20 feet away). I had to borrow some of Rachael's sweat pants to wear, while I babysat Jordi & Domanik, because my pants were SOO wet!
