-Castle Park-

My favorite parks in the Salt Lake Valley are Liberty Park & The 'Castle Park'. I have no idea what the real name of the 'Castle Park' is, (It's located just to the west of Redwood Road & barely south of 7800 South) we just like to call it the Castle Park because there is this huge wooden castle, (seems to be the main attraction of the park) that you can climb inside of & go down a couple slides coming out of it.

We took Kennedy to the 'Castle Park' on this beautiful sunny day.. I wish I would have had more space on my camera.. This is only a few of the shots I wanted to take. I kept having to delete pics that weren't 'very good' so I could even take as many as I did. (Im photo happy! so, some may think this is a lot of pics, but for me, it's very little.)

Kennedy was having so much fun on this bouncy horse! She was so proud of herself for being able to get on & off all by herself (she's definately constantly working more on thinking skills than climbing & body coordination skills. She can tell you her ABC's, sign anything you ask, have a real conversation with you, but anything having to do with body coordination, is going to take her a little practice ;)

She was being so cute, playing in 'her house' & kept poking her head up through this little window in the 'play house'.

I really like the look on her face in this pic

having a hard time climbing on the train.. I'm not sure that it was really meant to be sat on, more just to ride 'inside'.

Climbing the steps to get to the slide

She's always pulling these adorable faces

One of the reasons I love Liberty Park & the Castle Park so much is because of their wide variety of play equipment & easy access for handicapped children & younger toddlers. This swing Kennedy is on, is just one example of that.

Murray Park 19 April 2009

With such good weather on Sunday, we decided to take Kennedy to Murray Park to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts & feed the ducks.

We saw about 10 ducks overall, but none stuck around long enough to eat our yummy bread..
Instead, we ended up feeding all the seagulls that were begging us for food.
Kennedy didn't really care that we were feeding seagulls & not ducks. She was just excited to be feeding any sort of bird!

She had so much fun throwing the bread for the birdies. At first, she wasn't throwing it far enough to reach the water, so we showed her that she needed to throw it harder. Little did we know that she has an incredible throw; baseball pitcher here we come!

After all our bread was gone, we walked to the playground to let Kennedy play for a while. On our way walking back to the car, Kennedy got really excited & started running.. Poor thing stumbled & scraped her knees up pretty bad.

We scooped her up & Daddy carried Kennedy the rest of the way to the car (so much for bringing our stroller, only used it for a few minutes when we first got to the park)..
Daddy was Kennedy's HERO

Worst Blog Slacker of ALL TIME!

My last blog was the 13th of February! WOW! Seriously? Well, I obviously can't promise that I'm going to be a better blogger, because we've all seen how well I follow through ;) So, instead, I guess I'm just going to have to TRY with everything in me to not slack so much, & post atleast once a month. Seems like an easy goal to some... Hopefully it really will be an easy goal for me, & I can go even further with it & post way more frequently.. Anyway.. Enough random thinking.. Time to start working on a real post! I will be starting with the most recent events & working backwards til I eventually get caught up (someday, years away ;) But, just so everyone knows, I didn't fall off the edge of the earth, just got lazy about blogging ;)
