Saturdays are more fun

6 February 2010
Kennedy & Daddy started the day by visiting the library (A.K.A. the video store- Kodi & Kennedy love checking books out at the library, but 90 percent of what they check out are movies, which is perfectly fine with this cheaper than cheap wife/mom =-)
A trip to the library for them meant a little extra shuteye for Amelie & myself - YAY! (I'm pretty lacking in the sleep department lately - Thank you very much insomnia!)
This is what followed when they returned from the library...
This girl knows how to play with cars & trains in 'style'

Kennedy's ensemble makes me think of The Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland... (maybe Kennedy was trying to get the look of one of those hoop skirts? She put one of her dance outfits on that is pretty poofy, then added this dress that was mine as a wee one [which stays in the dress up, because well, I won't have my child stuck in the 90's - but if she wants to play dress up with my old clothes, go for it!]

Later, Kennedy & I went swimming and were joined by my mom, my cousin colin, and Little Amelie. It was Amelie's first swimming experience. She seemed to like (or at least put up with) it. Pictures of that to come - I didn't have my camera, but my mom took a couple with hers [let's hope I get on top of things enough to actually get those pics uploaded]

In the evening Kodi had a little 'date' with DJ to the Jazz game [I've been giving Kodi crap about it - he & DJ seem to have a little 'bromance' goin on]
While Kodi was on his 'date' Colin, My mom, & myself played FRIENDS trivia & Kennedy had some fun painting some Picaso like pictures of Tinkerbell (possibly photos to come...?)
Sad as it is, this was a pretty eventful day for us. Kennedy especially enjoyed a 'full' day. We're pretty boring around here as you can see -slowly working on that =-)

Don't let me forget the 'best' part of the day (loads of sarcasm)... My mountains of homework, oh joy! - staying up til 2 am, which also meant sleeping in & missing sacrament meeting. Oops
